Zinc Chloride Solution

Introduction

Zinc chloride solution is a colourless liquid mixture of Zinc chloride dissolved in a solvent, mainly water. It has a molecular formula of ZnCl2 and a CAS Number of 7646-85-7. It has a molecular weight of 136.29 g/mol.

Zinc dichloride solution has a density of 2.097 g/cm3, a melting point of 292 °C, and a boiling point of 756 °C. It has a high solubility in water, thereby increasing the solubility of Zinc chloride with temperature. It acts as a good conductor of electricity due to the dissociation of Zinc and Chloride ions in the solution. It is slightly acidic due to the hydrolysis of Zinc dichloride.

Production of Zinc (II) Chloride Solution

Vishnupriya Chemicals Private Limited manufactures Zinc chloride solution with a well-qualified and experienced production team.

Zinc (II) chloride in aqueous form is prepared by treating Zinc with Hydrochloric acid. Zinc oxide is used as a Zinc metal to prepare Zinc chloride liquid.
